The Shema and the Unity of the Godhead
.
Eddie shares from Jewish sources that their explanation/understanding of the Shema, (Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is ONE ... Deuteronomy 6:4) that the God of Israel is seen as being a compound unity. The fulfillment of the Shema is associated with Deuteronomy 4:39 and Zechariah 14:9.
“Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.” Deuteronomy 4:39
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. Zechariah 14:9
We are to know that YAHWEH is ELOHIM. He is GOD. That is the aim and the object of the Torah. This is the revelation and the mystery of the Holy name, Yod Hey Vav Hey.
The application of how the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) is connected knowing that Yahweh is Elohim (Deuteronomy 4:39) and that Yahweh will be King over all the earth (Zechariah 14:9) is knowing, believing and understanding that Yeshua is YHVH.
The sum of all of the Torah is the revelation and the understanding that Yahweh is Elohim. The application of this principle is that in the end of days, all of Israel, all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues will know that Yeshua is Yahweh. This is the sum essence of what the entire Torah is about.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Isaiah 45:22-23
Paul applies the application of Isaiah 45:22-23 with Philippians 2:10-11.
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11
Finally, Isaiah 45:22-23 is part of the weekly Sabbath prayers. It is quoted in the prayer known as the "Aleinu" which recognizes that Yahweh (the application is Yeshua) is KING over all the earth.

After you have watched the video or listened to the audio, there is an online quiz with in-depth study questions so you can dig deeper into the scriptures with each lesson.
You can take the courses online to receive ribbon points for completing a course and badge points for completing a subject.
When you complete all courses and all subjects, you can receive a
certificate of completion. This certificate is equivalent to a bachelor's or master's degree in Hebraic studies. We will be looking into college accreditation for the program in the future for those who desire to have this.
Alternatively, if you are a Pastor or home group leader, you can lead your home group or congregation through the questions in a small group discussion format.
